What is the eTRADE Programme 2.0?
The eTRADE Programme 2.0 is an effort by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) to assist Malaysian SMEs in accelerating exports and increase presence on cross-border eCommerce. The grant can be used to maintain online business activities such as digital marketing, eCommerce training and online export promotions. There are two schemes interested companies can apply for:
1. Onboarding Scheme
Up to 5,000RM*
Up to 5,000RM*
Any activities associated with onboarding onto Amazon.
This scheme covers:
- Listing / Subscription fee
- Photography services
- Shipping cost to warehouse facilities overseas such as - Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)
This scheme covers:
- Listing / Subscription fee
- Photography services
- Shipping cost to warehouse facilities overseas such as - Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)
2. Digital marketing & Training Scheme
Up to 20,000RM*
Up to 20,000RM*
For activities associated digital and/or attending training programmes
This scheme covers:
- Digital marketing expenses
- Paid trainings
- Paid workshops
This scheme covers:
- Digital marketing expenses
- Paid trainings
- Paid workshops
*per company, for one (1) year subscription / one (1) year activities
Eligibility Criteria
Interested companies should meet all of the following criteria:
Registered with SSM – open to ROC / ROB / LLP / Co-operatives registered with SKM
Made in Malaysia – selling Malaysian made products or Malaysian brand registered with MyIPO
Malaysian Owned – at least 60% Malaysian ownership
SME – in accordance to SMECorp SME Definition
Must be a MATRADE member and have undertaken Exporters Readiness Assessment Test (ERAT)
Must have registered for MyExport
Open for Manufacturer / Trading Company only
Additional Criteria for the Two Schemes:
1. Onboarding Scheme
2. Digital Marketing & Training (DMT) Scheme
1. Minimum 6 six months in operation.
2. Have NOT received the eTRADE incentive before.

For eTRADE 1.0 Recipient
In line with the update of eTRADE 2.0 guideline, recipients of eTRADE 1.0 are now eligible to apply for Onboarding Scheme, effective 1 July 2022. Additional requirements needed for the application.
